About the Role

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver comprehensive arts programs that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in dance education

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
  • Strong knowledge of dance techniques, curriculum design, and instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues to achieve common goals
