Academic Tutor II Part-Time (Multiple Vacancies) - Join Our Team at Broward College!
Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Academic Tutors to join our team at Broward College. As an Academic Tutor II, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving academic success by providing one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, sharing learning strategies, and performing administrative duties. - Location: Remote (with some on-campus presence required)
- Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
- Work Schedule: Part-time, variable hours (up to 27.5 hours per week), including evenings and weekends
- Start Date: Immediate openings available
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual, small group, and remote tutoring sessions to help students understand course concepts and become independent learners
- Assess, assist, and encourage students during tutoring sessions
- Monitor tutor appointment schedules and assist students with making appointments
- Develop workshops and exam reviews, and facilitate group study sessions
- Participate in tutor training sessions and department meetings
- Represent the Academic Success Center during classroom visitations, orientations, and campus-wide events
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Tutoring experience in subject area strongly preferred
- Advanced levels and proficiency in the subject areas to be tutored
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
