Job Summary

As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling a large call volume while ensuring quality customer service and patient satisfaction. You'll serve as the primary source of communication for patients' billing inquiries, following up on all issues not resolved during conversation with the patient/guarantor. You'll also be required to complete other related customer service duties as assigned, answer patient calls within the guidelines of call center metric objectives, and ensure appropriate HIPAA compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle a large call volume while ensuring quality customer service and patient satisfaction

  • Follow-up on all issues not resolved during conversation with patient/guarantor
  • Ability to complete other related customer service duties as assigned
  • Ability to answer patient calls within the guidelines of call center metric objectives
  • Ensure appropriate HIPAA compliance guidelines
  • Adhere to work schedule and follow call center phone procedures
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required; additional languages a plus
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a healthcare or medical billing environment

  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance guidelines
  • Familiarity with call center software and technology
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
