The Role
As an Experienced Full Stack AI Virtual Receptionist Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in the development and deployment of Receptia, our AI-powered virtual receptionist. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a seamless, real-time experience for users, leveraging the capabilities of OpenAI (ChatGPT) to provide intelligent, contextual, and personalized responses. Your responsibilities will include:
Phase 1 Features:
+ Receive VoIP/SIP calls and integrate OpenAI (ChatGPT) API for intelligent handling + Implement real-time speech recognition using Whisper, Deepgram, or equivalent + Develop natural text-to-speech capabilities using ElevenLabs, Azure TTS, or equivalent + Automate detection of Québec French and Canadian English + Design a simple web interface to manage scripts, responses, and logs + Implement audio and text conversation logging + Option to transfer to a human operator
Phase 2 Features (Optional):
+ Integrate CRM systems for seamless customer management + Develop appointment scheduling capabilities using Google Calendar or Outlook + Implement automatic SMS/email sending + Implement caller recognition for returning customers
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Proven experience
with OpenAI API integration
Strong knowledge
of VoIP/SIP and telephony integrations
Expertise
in advanced STT/TTS systems
Low-latency real-time development experience

Familiarity
