Job Summary

As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant, you will play a critical role in helping others on the path to better health. Your responsibilities will include routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. You will work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion

• Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
• Work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Possess high levels of reliability, accuracy, professionalism, customer focus, team orientation, problem-solving abilities, strong written and oral communication, and strong computer skills
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and prescription data

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician

• Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health records and data entry systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

* Specialty pharmacy experience

• Call center experience
• Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
