Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Operator II, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient data into our information system. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing, interpreting, editing, and verifying patient demographics
- Logging onto the computer and entering all appropriate requisition data in an accurate and efficient manner
- Using all inquiry functions on the computerized terminal (CRT)
- Reviewing data entered into the system to ensure its accuracy and completeness
- Microfilming requisitions to provide documentation retrieval for error audits
- Filing requisitions according to department specifications
- Maintaining a neat and orderly workstation and area immediately surrounding the workstation
- Consistently keying a minimum of 500 requisitions per shift
- Keeping up to date on all new procedure changes and clients with special keying requirements
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1-3 years of experience in data entry or a related field
- 1 year prior CRT experience is required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain composure while managing multiple tasks
- Adaptability to change and ability to grasp information and make accurate decisions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow verbal or written instructions
- Concentration on task/details and ability to examine and observe details
Physical and Mental Requirements
As a Data Entry Operator II, you will need to:
- Lift light to moderately heavy objects
- Lifting and carrying objects with a weight range of 1 to 15 pounds
- Sit or stand for long periods of time; requires long hours of eye and hand coordination
- Perform repetitive tasks with dominant hand frequently to constantly throughout the day
- Extensive use of phone and PC
