Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling incoming contacts from travelers, responding to their queries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing reservation requests, supporting basic loyalty and customer care requests, and identifying guest reservation needs to maximize revenue
  • Following sales techniques to ensure compliance with policies and procedures for special booking rules and requests, loyalty guidelines, and case management
  • Providing customer support through assistance and guidance in issue resolution, and open communication with Marriott properties, related company contacts, and third parties
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, protecting company assets, and protecting the privacy and security of guests and coworkers
  • Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • No related work experience is required, but a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • A reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 3 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload
  • A physical cable plug-in (ethernet) connection

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a call center or hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and its various brands
  • Experience with sales techniques and revenue maximization strategies
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
