LPN Outpatient - Cardiology Opportunity at Carilion Clinic

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology team at Carilion Clinic in Christiansburg, VA. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team in a fast-paced physician practice setting.

Job Summary

• Provide practical nursing support to patients in a physician practice or clinic setting under the direction of a physician or mid-level practitioner
• Conduct patient assessments, prepare patients for exams, administer medications, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Document patient information in electronic medical records and provide patient teaching as directed by the provider
• Assist with referral authorizations, lab procedures, and other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or new graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam
• One year of experience in a physician office preferred
• Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) and AHA BLS-HCP certification required
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
