About the Role: As a School Age Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum plans, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and developing professional relationships with colleagues, families, and children. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, attend staff meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development. Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate curriculum plans, including arts and crafts, group time, science, indoor and outdoor games, snack, and lunch
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, ensuring the welfare of all enrolled children
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with classroom teachers, program co-workers, families, and other staff members
• Attend all staff meetings and other work-related functions as required
• Aid in the upkeep of appropriate standards for children's discipline and behavior standards using non-punitive methods
• Continuously develop professional self and complete required training hours

Requirements:

• Proven ability to work effectively and professionally with children, families, and adult staff
• Demonstrated skills in effective communication, both written and verbal
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and pass a Criminal Background Check, Child Protective Services Background Check, and a Skin Tuberculosis test
• Reliable transportation and a desire to work with children in a childcare setting
• Completion of 13 hours of online training upon being hired

Nice to Haves:

• Associate degree in early childhood education or working towards one
• Documented experience in a childcare setting
