Part-Time Montessori Teacher (K-5) - Downtown Nashville

Job Summary:

Join our team at Catapult Learning and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students! We are seeking a qualified and experienced Montessori teacher to provide part-time instruction to students in grades K-5 at a Montessori school in downtown Nashville. As an Intervention Teacher, you will work with small groups of students to address their identified skill deficits in Reading and Math, utilizing a prescribed curriculum and gradual release model of instruction.

Key Job Details:

  • Compensation: Competitive salary
  • Position: Part-Time Montessori Teacher (K-5)
  • Location: Downtown Nashville, TN
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12pm-4pm (20 hours per week)
  • Start Date: Immediate openings available

Responsibilities:

  • Instruct Reading/ELA and Math to small groups of students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting with a focus on intervention
  • Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills to eligible students through utilization of company-designed materials and educational strategies
  • Utilize company-provided curriculum to develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
  • Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classrooms/learning stations
  • Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines
  • Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences
  • Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Montessori School training/experience preferred
  • Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience
  • Willingness and ability to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred
