As a Supporting Library Specialist at Arapahoe Libraries, you'll float between branches, the bookmobile, and our call center-stepping in wherever help is needed most.This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong passion for public service. No two days are the same-and that's exactly what makes this work so rewarding. This role is part-time, 20-hours per week.Schedule and AvailabilityBecause of the changing needs of this position, open availability is required: Monday-Thursday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Friday-Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PMWhat You'll Do as a Supporting Library SpecialistPatron Assistance

• Greet and assist patrons at various locations
• Handle account inquiries and transactions
• Answer reference and technology questions
• Promote programs, resources, and events
• Provide service via phone and online chat
• De-escalate concerns and create a welcoming environment

Materials Handling

• Shelve and organize library materials
• Maintain displays and library spaces

Team Support and Learning

• Stay informed on internal updates and services
• Share feedback with supervisors and collaborate with coworkers
• Adjust to changes and varied environments at each location

What You Will Bring to This RoleQualifications

• At least one year of experience in customer service, libraries, or education
• Intermediate technology skills and willingness to learn new tools
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel with short notice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm for serving people of all ages and backgrounds
• A flexible mindset and comfort with frequent change
