[Remote] Business Development Representative - SaaS

Vastian is a leading provider of healthcare and laboratory quality solutions, and they are seeking a Business Development Representative to focus on outreach, prospecting, and subscription renewal processing. The role involves identifying potential customers, nurturing leads, collaborating with the sales team, and managing the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential Vastian customers using CRM tools, professional resources and media, and other prospecting methods
  • Reach out to prospects through cold calls, emails, and business media to initiate conversations
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and determine their fit with Vastian's offerings
  • Build relationships with prospects to maintain interest and engagement over time
  • Schedule meetings or demos with qualified prospects
  • Maintain detailed records of all interactions in the CRM
  • Work closely with the sales team to align on Vastian ideal customer profiles and target accounts
  • Provide detailed notes and context on qualified leads to ensure smooth handoffs
  • Participate in sales team meetings to update on lead generation progress and share insights
  • Track and manage lead progress through the sales funnel
  • Follow up with prospects to address concerns or provide additional information as needed
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities
  • Provide feedback to the Sales and Marketing teams on common objections, customer needs, and market demand
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and lead generation goals (e.g., call volume, emails sent, meetings booked)
  • Report on lead conversion rates and other KPIs to leadership regularly
  • Attend training sessions to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and market expertise
  • Experiment with new outreach methods and tools to optimize lead generation efforts

  • Experience working with CRM software
  • Previous medical laboratory, healthcare industry or related experience preferred
