This is a fully remote position, but you must reside within the state of Maine to be eligible. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage Directly with Customers: Connect with pet parents who contact arenaflex for a wide variety of topics, ranging from helping them shop for a new pet, finding that perfect chew toy or treat, or troubleshooting issues when something does not go as planned.
  • Research and Problem-Solve: Take ownership of customer concerns by digging into details, thinking proactively, and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure complete contact resolution.
  • Demonstrate Active Listening and Empathy: Operate with understanding, patience, empathy, and kindness toward customers and team members alike, treating every interaction as an opportunity to build trust.

  • Collaborate Virtually: Engage with teammates, your direct Manager, and colleagues across many levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams to contribute to a customer-centric culture of collaboration.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive customer information with discretion and adhere to all data privacy and security protocols.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a professional setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, demonstrated through a written assessment.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with computers, including fast and accurate data entry, plus the ability to navigate multiple systems and the internet efficiently while supporting customers.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, such as maintaining a phone conversation while navigating on the computer and taking notes simultaneously, while performing well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information at all times.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Canadian French (Quebecois) is a strong plus.
  • Previous experience in a remote work environment.
  • A demonstrated love for pets or prior experience in the pet industry.
  • Experience using CRM platforms or customer support ticketing systems.

Technical and Home Office Requirements

To succeed in this remote role, you will need a dedicated and professional workspace. Specifically, arenaflex requires the following:

  • Your work area must be large enough to accommodate computer monitors and free from distractions, including any background noise that could impact the customer experience.
  • Your work area must be acceptable for webcam use during virtual meetings and training sessions.
  • A reliable wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection with a minimum of 30 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. You can verify your internet speed at speedtest.net or by contacting your service provider. Applicants must meet and demonstrate this requirement.
  • You must provide your own high-speed internet. arenaflex will provide all other necessary equipment, including computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam.
  • A cell phone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify. Acceptable options include a smartphone or tablet on which the Okta mobile app can be downloaded, or a cell phone that can receive SMS messages and phone calls. A landline phone is not required.
