Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Specialist at arenaflex, you will take ownership of a variety of critical tasks that directly influence business outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting Ad Hoc Analyses: Work with large, complex, and dynamic datasets to perform on-demand analyses that inform critical business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Building and Maintaining ETLs: Design and develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes that pull data from multiple sources and consolidate it into unified, accessible tables for reporting and analysis.
• Creating Data Visualizations: Develop intuitive and impactful Tableau dashboards and other visualizations to monitor key performance indicators, measure the impact of operational changes, and address special business challenges.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage regularly with colleagues and cross-functional teams across Operations, Finance, and Product to establish credibility, understand stakeholder needs, and share relevant insights.
• Ensuring Data Quality: Partner with stakeholders to monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and latency across various systems and projects.
• Automating Reporting Processes: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting activities, including screenshot generation, metrics prioritization, and anomaly detection.
• Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Document your processes, share insights with peers, and mentor colleagues as you grow into a Subject Matter Expert within the team.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance the overall efficiency of the analytics function.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• SQL Expertise: Excellent SQL skills with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity. You should be comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and handling large datasets.
• Dashboard Development: Creativity and a client experience mindset to design meaningful Tableau dashboards that tell a story and drive action.
• Business Acumen: Strong business operations familiarity with the ability to understand and root-cause business problems. A background in supply chain, logistics, or transportation is highly desirable.

• Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and available to work full-time hours (8 hours per day).
