Manager, Legal and Compliance Services

Ever wondered who keeps a fast-growing company on the right side of the law while it scales across multiple markets? That’s the role we’re hiring for.

About Reliance Health

We're a healthcare technology company of 400+ people using technology to make healthcare affordable, accessible, and delightful in emerging markets. We operate across Nigeria, Egypt, Senegal, and Côte d'Ivoire, with 300,000 people depending on us for their healthcare. We're one of Time Magazine's World's Top Healthtech Companies (2025).

We're a data-driven team that values ambitious thinking, simple communication, and working without micromanagement. We move fast, learn by doing, and our diverse team spans multiple nationalities and backgrounds.

The Role

As Manager, Legal and Compliance Services, you’ll ensure that Reliance Health operates safely and within the law across all our markets. You’ll own day-to-day legal and compliance operations, support internal teams with practical legal guidance, and ensure regulatory requirements are translated into clear, actionable processes. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and able to balance legal rigor with business needs, this role is for you.

  • Review business proposals, product changes, and partnerships for legal risk
  • Translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance
  • Manage external counsel relationships, including briefing and cost control
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor and partnership agreements
  • Maintain a contract register tracking obligations, renewals, and timelines
  • Ensure contracts are properly executed, stored, and understood by internal teams
  • Manage regulatory filings, license applications, and correspondence with authorities
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business
  • Maintain a compliance calendar to track all regulatory deadlines
  • Convert regulatory requirements into internal policies and operational processes
  • Support internal investigations and incident reviews involving legal or compliance risks
  • Conduct structured risk assessments for new markets, products, or process changes
  • Document findings, recommendations, and track issue resolution
