The Role
As a Customer Service Representative II, you'll be part of a collaborative team that responds to member and provider inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims status, and other related issues. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing first call resolution by responding accurately and courteously to member and provider inquiries
- Documenting inquiries, complaints, and other data in our computer database in an accurate, clear, and timely manner
- Supporting CHPW members during the Medicare Annual Election Period, including working variable shifts and weekend hours
- Advising providers on the outcome of claim processing and taking appropriate action on behalf of the provider and arenaflex
- Meeting attendance and call quality standards
- Performing all functions of the job with accuracy, attention to detail, and within established timeframes
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of three (3) years of call center experience, preferably in insurance, managed care, or from a provider setting
- Experience with state and federal programs, including Washington Apple Health, Medicare Advantage Plans
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including typing
- Ability to gather and assess information from multiple systems, apply protocols, and determine appropriate actions
- Ability to use MS Office products, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:
- Experience working in a 100% remote environment
- Familiarity with claims and claims processing
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare
- Ability to summarize calls, notes, and create clear and concise documentation
