[Remote] Project Employee - NBA Social Content Facebook

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a global sports and media organization, and they are seeking a Project Employee to join their Social & Digital Content team. The role involves creating and publishing content for the NBA's social platforms, particularly Facebook, while monitoring trends and optimizing content performance.

Responsibilities

  • Publish content to the NBA’s Facebook pages by uploading video, still imagery or text-based content with copy, tags, thumbnails and additional publishing details (such as paid partnership information, etc.) during real-time game coverage and for additional content franchises. This may include publishing real-time content and scheduling content
  • Assist with content planning for Reels, longform videos, photo albums, Stories, Broadcast Channels and more
  • Review content metrics and implement platform feedback to optimize content performance
  • Monitor NBA team and player Facebook pages for amplification on the NBA’s Facebook pages
  • Monitor trends on the platform
  • Ability to assist with similar publishing responsibilities on additional Meta platforms (Threads, Instagram, etc.) or other NBA social platforms when needed

Skills

  • Knowledge of Facebook at an expert level (including platform trends, how to publish, how to review metrics, etc.) and understands the way fans consume NBA content on the platform
  • Understanding of how to use other Meta platforms and tools (Instagram, Threads, WhatsApp, Meta Quest, etc.)
  • Experience publishing to Facebook or similar social content platform for a sports brand or media organization
  • Knowledge of the NBA at an expert level with a strong understanding of the storylines surrounding its players, coaches, teams, statistics, standings, history of the league and the league's calendar of events
  • Watches and consumes NBA basketball content on a daily and nightly basis
  • Strong editorial background in basketball, basketball culture and other extensions of the game
  • Good understanding of the NBA's social voice
  • Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while handling critical tasks
  • Ability to execute detailed feedback
  • Strong communication, organization and project management skills
  • Must be a team player who can work collaboratively
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position may include working days, nights, weekends and holidays based on the NBA calendar
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferred
