Key Responsibilities

As a full stack data governance professional at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the creation, maintenance, and rollout of arenaflex's data governance capabilities
  • Developing and tracking metrics to determine adoption and fulfillment of data governance capabilities
  • Collaborating with the enterprise to enable data governance and data quality standards
  • Working with the data governance platform team(s) to automate capability processes
  • Acting as the product owner for capability products
  • Being the capability's spokesperson and chief marketer
  • Researching, reviewing, suggesting, and rolling out new software
  • Working with the data governance executive committee to define and screen center metrics and KPIs for each capability

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 3 years of experience in data analytics and/or data governance
  • Experience implementing one or more data governance capabilities in an organization
  • Experience developing and tracking metrics to determine adoption and fulfillment of data governance capabilities
  • Experience working with business intelligence products, data lakes, and data warehouses
  • Experience working with sensitive data (i.e. PII, SPII, PHI) and relevant regulatory requirements that govern such data (i.e. GDPR, CCPA, etc)
  • Experience working with data quality and observability tools

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Change management experience identifying downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting
  • Experience automating data governance processes/workflows using market-leading data governance products
  • Detailed experience delivering data governance artifacts collectively with data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data movement controls, and data element degree data best controls
  • Experience as a data steward (performing as a data expert, auditing, and reviewing data access, performing as a product owner for a data product, data domain, etc.)
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps frameworks
  • Airline, aviation, travel, and/or hospitality experience

Skills and Licenses

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong facts of data and analytical standards
  • Data governance certifications: CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional)
  • Ability to bridge the communication gap using translating technical governance standards to the business
  • Ability to be flexible in an evolving work model and able to pivot without issues on areas of focus
  • Ability to govern tasks and organizations from idea generation through execution
