Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing our customers with a distinctive and delightful shopping experience. This includes greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a friendly and efficient manner. You'll also be responsible for operating a cash register, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services

  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
  • Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
  • Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
  • Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
  • Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
  • Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
  • Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
  • Complete resets and revisions as directed
  • Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products
  • Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store)
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers

Training & Personal Development

* Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate

  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance customer service skills and product knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)

  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

* Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment

  • Prefer to have prior work experience with arenaflex
  • Prefer to be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)

Skills and Competencies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
