Experienced Customer Advocate I – Healthcare Industry Call Center Representative

As a Customer Advocate I, you will play a vital role in assisting members and physicians by responding to telephone and written inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner.

Job Summary:

As a Customer Advocate I, you will work in a fast-paced call center environment, utilizing your excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve customer inquiries and concerns. You will be responsible for conducting research, data entry, and providing exceptional customer service to our members and physicians. Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to telephone and written inquiries from members and physicians in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner. - Conduct research to resolve customer inquiries and concerns. - Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all interactions are professional, courteous, and respectful. - Spend approximately 90% of the scheduled time on the phone, according to business needs, and sit for long periods of time with scheduled breaks. - Utilize data entry and typing skills to accurately document customer interactions and update records as needed. - Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and provide solutions. - Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and product knowledge to provide accurate information to customers.

Essential Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED). - 6 months of customer service experience or 6 months of experience in an office environment. - Data entry and/or typing experience. - Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. - Analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to make independent decisions. - Ability to spend approximately 90% of the scheduled time on the phone, according to business needs, and sit for long periods of time with scheduled breaks.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 9 months of customer service experience. - Experience working with various lines of business, such as CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management. - Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. - Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change. - Referral preference given to applicants who can take and meet testing criteria.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions. - Proficient in data entry and typing, with the ability to accurately document customer interactions and update records. - Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment, with a high volume of customer interactions. - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $17.75 - $27.83, with exact compensation varying based on skills, experience, and location.
