Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst - IT, you'll be an data-driven leader who has a passion for data, analysis, and program execution with the ability to dive into details, evaluate the 10,000-foot view, and focus on process improvement. Creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty innovation groups with a good understanding of the business, as well as collaborating with a dedicated team and being an issue solver are the keys to success in this role. This team will decipher data collected from various sources, identify patterns and trends, and transform it into actionable insights that improve Functional Excellence (FE). This role requires a strong communicator with a passion for finding the signal in the noise and the ability to come up with enhancements to applications and metrics to be measured. You should be comfortable communicating with engineers, stage teams, business experts, customer experience, and management to drive change based on data. The team will work closely with Advanced Analytics Community (AAC) on functional metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze the digital performance of applications/frameworks affecting business functionality of applications/frameworks

  • Understand the right questions to be asked on the platform data related to Digital Channels
  • Create streamlined and comprehensive data analysis workflows
  • Areas of focus will include, but are not limited to:

+ Data Visualization + Application performance analysis + Error patterns, top variables contributing to errors + Identify, design, and execute internal process improvements: recommendations for execution and greater flexibility

  • Demonstrating and coding of data

+ With space expertise, constructs trusted data products including dashboards and reporting items to help Digital Channels, Personalization, and Loyalty authorities make data-driven decisions on application performance + Collaborates with US and India Data Center teams to develop dashboards + Track new platform updates and application deployments and cycles and learn the current application/frameworks to explore system performance, dive into errors, response time, service logs, define new data collection and labeling, create comprehensive dashboards + Convey and communicate updates to authorities, as well as assemble standard presentations

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree ideally in Engineering, Data Science (Math, Statistics, or Economics)

  • Engineering, Data Science, or another quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.)
  • 5+ years in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, analysis, and data engineering, with 3+ of those years in a Fortune 500 company
  • 3+ years in business stage development
  • Experience creating presentations for stakeholders and executives and collaborating with all levels of management
  • Genuine ability to create a vision, motivate the team towards that vision, and offer support to achieve it
  • Broad experience with BI tooling (e.g., PowerBI, Tibco Spotfire, etc.) to create meaningful, rich dashboards

Advanced Success information:

* Experience analyzing business stages for Web, Mobile Application, Loyalty, Exhibited insight in handling large data sets and social data sets (SQL and Non-SQL)

  • Ability to study/comprehend business needs, design data/innovation metrics that interface business processes with quantifiable stage results, Grasp basic measurement/Objective Settings

High-level SQL skills:

* Strong critical thinking skills, using data to solve problems

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Should be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview expected to meet work capability
  • Reliable, consistent attendance is a fundamental requirement of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

* Graduate degree ideally in Software Engineering, Aviation Management, or Operations Research

  • Software Engineering, Data Frameworks, avionics management or related degree, Operations Research, MBA
  • Google Data Analysis Professional Certification, Power BI Data Expert Partner, AWS Certified Data Analysis, Enterprise Data Warehouse certifications, Palantir, Client-Side execution metrics tools e.g. Quantum Metrics
  • 4+ years in a lead role
  • Experience with Data Dog /App D/Kibana is a significant plus
  • Experience with Enterprise monitoring systems is a plus
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Past airline or travel industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with AWS - Redshift, QuickSight, Athena
  • Experience with BigQuery
  • Continuous integration and delivery using Spry methods.
  • Regression analysis on performance forecasts, exp. in various regression techniques
