Job Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Support Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to our clients, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Answering inbound calls and responding to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat
  • Helping customers navigate their healthcare plans, including explaining coverage options, benefits, and eligibility
  • Resolving complex customer issues, escalating concerns to senior team members as needed
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experiences
  • Staying up-to-date on product knowledge, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to provide accurate and informed support
  • Meeting or exceeding performance metrics, including first-call resolution rates, customer satisfaction scores, and average handle time

Required Capabilities

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including CRM software and other productivity tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Preferred Capabilities

While not required, the following skills and qualities are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a home-based remote environment, with a strong track record of productivity and performance
  • Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCEP)
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act
  • Experience working with diverse customer populations, including those with limited English proficiency or disabilities
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
