Job Description

This is a Sr. Manager, Collaboration Services role with responsibility and accountability for the Collaboration services provided in AECOM as part of the digital transformation efforts and implementing multiple IT project initiatives. The primary role is to serve as a solutions expert; to analyze and solve collaboration problems, validate and implement cost-effective solutions, and provide support for the efficient daily operations. This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work, to be based in either Dallas or Houston, TX. Job Functions

  • Technical lead in complex global collaboration projects. Ensure solution is consistent with AECOM standards
  • Collaboration technologies today include Email (M365), Conferencing (M365), Data sharing (M365), Video Conferencing (Cisco and Microsoft), Voice/Telecommunication (Cisco and Microsoft), AV (multiple) and other collaboration solutions for remote work flexibility
  • Work closely with AECOM’s outsource partner(s) and PMO teams to ensure execution of the projects is going to plan
  • Analyze business challenges and recommend practical technical solutions that meet objectives of time and budget
  • Collaborate with other team members in the Infrastructure team to develop long term enterprise infrastructure strategy
  • Work closely with our Digital, Business and Corporate team(s) to ensure Collaboration solutions are developed for the different use cases and regional needs
  • Work closely with the Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to ensure solutions are meeting business objectives and to resolve any day-to-day operational issues
  • Assist the business leadership to manage Executive townhalls, Earnings and Investor calls
  • Collaborate with AECOM’s outsource partner to identify solutions for any long standing collaboration and infrastructure “problems”
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications to assist with User communications and change management
  • Manage issues, risks, and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools established within the AECOM PMO.
  • Communicate status on projects and issues to AECOM leadership as established.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline plus at least 10 years of relevant experience in an IT infrastructure based role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience
  • M365 experience including Exchange and Teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple infrastructure streams – server, storage, backups, voice and network
  • Understanding of basic information security protocols.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet etc.)
  • Experience leading large enterprise projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud experience a bonus, moving technologies to the cloud.
  • Advanced technical degree or related certifications
  • Experience with collaboration services such as A/V, video conferencing, whiteboarding (such as Miro), Secure Share (such as Forta GoAnywhere), etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal) within various levels of the organization and technical / non-technical team members

Competencies

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at various stages of completion.
  • Strong facilitation skills; communicates effectively with the project team and the business to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions as required.
  • Proven ability to “sell” management on solutions
  • Strong understanding of various technologies specifically in infrastructure space (server, storage, networking, voice, cloud) but also understand the interactions with applications and databases.
