Key Responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence Engineer on our Defect Elimination Analytics team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making
  • Partnering with operations, business teams, economists, and machine learning teams to consult, develop, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), automated reporting and process solutions, and data infrastructure improvements
  • Developing end-to-end automation of pipelines for applications and machine learning models
  • Applying analytical skills to extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complicated data sets
  • Serving as a liaison with business and technical teams to achieve project objectives, requiring data gathering, problem-solving, modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations

A Day in the Life

As a Business Intelligence Engineer on our Defect Elimination Analytics team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that impact our customer experience. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data-driven solutions that inform business decisions and drive defect elimination. You'll also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and tools, including Amazon Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, Tableau, Quicksight, and R.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, and other data warehousing and business intelligence tools
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience with the following technologies and tools would be a plus:

  • AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  • Data mining, ETL, and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Experience with machine learning and natural language processing techniques
