Experienced Customs Trade Coordinator – Remote Data Entry Position at arenaflex

As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of customs shipments, while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Customs Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Processing customs shipments, including obtaining and verifying necessary documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including tracking and tracing information
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Analyzing and resolving complex customs-related issues, including discrepancies and errors
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and procedures, and implementing new processes and procedures as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management, including special projects and initiatives

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international business, logistics, or supply chain management
  • At least 6 months of experience in a related field, including data entry, customer service, or operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including clients, carriers, and government agencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex customs-related issues and develop effective solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to achieve common goals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high volume of work and tight deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, and to be flexible in a dynamic work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a customs brokerage or logistics company

  • Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including the Harmonized System (HS) and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
  • Experience with customs-related software and systems, including ACE and the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
  • Certification in customs brokerage or logistics, such as the Certified Customs Broker (CCB) or the Certified Logistics Professional (CLP)
