The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for delivering the highest level of customer service for managing investment portfolios to achieve our clients' financial goals. This role involves proactive client contact and relationship management, developing and implementing investment strategies for client portfolios, and contributing to our internal investment committees. This is a key contributor to our investment and relationship management team, and we are seeking someone with a deep understanding of investment markets and analysis who can effectively communicate with clients of all levels of investment sophistication. Location: This position is located in Providence or Westerly, and may be remote or hybrid within MA, RI and CT. Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently provide proactive, high-impact client service to exceed expectations and build long-term relationships
  • Coordinate all client communications involving investment strategy, portfolio decisions and investment performance.
  • Develop and implement investment strategies tailored to clients' objectives.
  • Manage large and complex financial relationships and maintain effective management of relationships and assets.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews of investments, client goals and objectives.
  • Understand and can effectively utilize financial planning software to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Actively participate on and is a valuable contributor to one or more investment committees.
  • Manage people and resources to promote efficiency and drive profitable growth.
  • Support new business development and client retention efforts.
  • Demonstrate a consistently positive attitude and prioritize excellent client service.
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • CFA designation or comparable industry designation strongly desired.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in portfolio management or a related field with experience in managing HNW clients.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation: A good faith, reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $125,000–$175,000, and the actual offer will depend on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. This base salary reflects one component of our competitive compensation package. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
