The Enterprise Data Transformation and AI/ML will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and optimization of Enterprise Data Strategy and Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and automation initiatives within the organization. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in technology, data science, and business strategy to drive innovation and efficiency across various business functions within Diagnostics. As a senior leader reporting into Chief Transformation Officer, this role will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of Enterprise Data Strategy, Responsible AI and machine learning strategies within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of these technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. The Senior Director - Enterprise Data Transformation will be responsible for overseeing the Data Transformation/AI/ML initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, and staying abreast of industry trends, and it will ensure that technology and automation practices comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards in Diagnostics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop, drive, and articulate a comprehensive Data Transformation/AI/ML and automation Vision/Strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to business leaders on leveraging Data Transformation/AI/ML and automation to enhance operations and achieve business goals.
  • Lead and manage a small but high-performing team of data engineers, machine learning engineers, and automation specialists.
  • Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of Data Transformation/AI/ML models and automation solutions.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies by collaborating with Data Management teams to safeguard the quality, accuracy, and security of data used in AI/ML and automation processes while ensuring the data infrastructure supports AI/ML initiatives.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficacy/impact of Data Transformation/AI/ML and automation initiatives while presenting on the progress and outcomes of key projects to executive leadership.
  • Ensure that AI/ML and automation practices comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards through staying informed about legal considerations in AI/ML, advocating for responsible and transparent practices.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 15 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 12 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/ JD/MD) or a minimum of 10 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data science tools
  • Proven experience in leading AI/ML teams and implementing successful projects.
  • Hands on experience working on analytical platforms like SAS, R, Python, Azure ML
  • Demonstrated ability to align AI/ML initiatives with business goals.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing AI/ML and automation projects.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement in which you can work part of the time at the Company location identified above and part of the time remotely from your home. The salary range this role is $210K-$220K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
