Quality Assurance Intern

Discovery Life Sciences is a leading provider of human biospecimens and cellular starting materials for advanced therapies. They are seeking a motivated intern to join their Quality Assurance team, providing hands-on experience in developing and maintaining the Quality Management System for analytical technology areas.

Responsibilities

  • Supports a variety of Quality Assurance (QA) activities, projects, and initiatives, including process improvement and harmonization, computerized systems validations, and document control
  • Participates in supplier qualification activities, including follow-ups, downloading certificates, etc
  • General administrative activities such as scanning and filing of relevant QA documents
  • Maintains databases for QA test methods and supplier data
  • Compiles periodic quality metrics and assists in the development of associated presentation materials
  • Provides support for members of the QA team at various sites (US and EU)

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in life sciences preferred or other related fields such as legal may be considered
  • Interest in quality assurance in the biotechnology industry
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to conduct research and interpret complex concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
