Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Medical Data Entry Specialist/Billing Clerk to join our remote team. As a key member of our billing department, you'll be responsible for accurate and efficient data entry, claim submission, and patient information verification. Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Data Entry Specialist/Billing Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Accurate and efficient data entry of patient information into our computer system
• Verifying patient information in the system to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Checking payer portals for claims status and resubmitting claims as necessary
• Following HIPAA guidelines to provide medical records to primary care providers, insurance carriers, referred providers, and patients per patient request
• Participating in team-oriented tasks, including assisting coworkers, meeting deadlines, and contributing to team goals
• Maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• At least 1 year of medical experience, preferably in billing or data entry
