Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direct care and supervision of children in the Specialized Therapeutic Group Home Program
  • Adhere to the established daily schedule of activities
  • Implement the behavior management system
  • Maintain open communication with co-workers and administrators
  • Complete all necessary documentation

Skills

  • Applicants should have at minimum a high school diploma or GED
  • At least one year experience working with children/adolescents
  • Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) encouraged to apply
  • Valid Florida's driver's license is required
  • Able to physically engage in restraints
  • May involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light to moderate weight (10-25 pounds)
  • Repetitive sitting; standing; walking; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; balancing; stooping; kneeling; talking; and listening
  • Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to drive
  • Child Development Associate or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
