Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join our team in Nevada, USA. As a key member of our data center operations team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our data centers, providing expert technical guidance, and driving process improvements. This is a part-time role, with a flexible schedule that allows you to work from home and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Center Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our data centers, including mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems
  • Providing expert technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including data center operations teams, technical program managers, and logistics teams
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including procedure manuals, system documentation, and issue tracking records
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and implement best practices in data center operations and management
  • Conducting regular site visits to ensure compliance with arenaflex standards and regulatory requirements
  • Managing and resolving technical issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
  • Developing and implementing energy and environmental management programs to reduce our carbon footprint and improve operational efficiency
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data center operations and management

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in data center operations and management, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems
  • An undergraduate degree in a technical field, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering
  • Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in data center operations, including power distribution, cooling systems, and fire suppression systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service delivery
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy in all aspects of work

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience with data center infrastructure management software, including DCIM and BMS systems
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including ASHRAE, NERC, and ISO 27001
  • Experience with energy and environmental management programs, including LEED and ISO 14001
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication
