Job Summary
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Driver Onboarding Specialist/Data Entry Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our onboarding process, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our delivery professionals are activated quickly and efficiently. This is a full-time position that requires a strong desire to help people, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a quiet work environment.
Responsibilities
As a Driver Onboarding Specialist/Data Entry Clerk, your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing applications, insurance documents, and vehicle registration documents for accuracy and eligibility
- Conducting virtual vehicle safety inspections with qualified driver-applicants (training provided)
- Communicating with delivery professionals via text, chat, and email about the status of their applications
- Ordering driver applicants' pre-employment background checks using company software
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of driver applications and onboarding progress
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Associate's degree or above (preferred, but not required)
- 1-2 years of experience in recruiting/onboarding gig app workers or working in data entry, HR, or customer service (preferred, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable with smartphone applications and web-based applications
- Self-motivated and able to work in a quiet work environment or our downtown San Diego office
- Reliable internet connection and working computer (if working from home)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- Experience working with gig economy platforms or similar onboarding processes
- Familiarity with data entry software and systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $25,000 to $35,000 annually, based on skills, education, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll also enjoy:
