Experienced Customer Service Representative – Automotive Tools and Toolboxes

If so, we invite you to join blithequark's dynamic Customer Service team as an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Automotive Tools and Toolboxes. In this role, you will be the face of our company, working closely with franchised distributor customers to provide expert guidance on selecting the right automotive tools and toolboxes.

Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Automotive Tools and Toolboxes, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting franchised distributor customers in selecting the right automotive tools and toolboxes to meet their specific needs
  • Handling inbound calls, providing pricing details, part numbers, and troubleshooting issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Providing technical support by offering information and specifications from the Matco Tools catalog
  • Inputting orders accurately using internal software systems
  • Collaborating with the Customer Service team to resolve challenges and ensure seamless communication
  • Engaging with subject matter experts across departments for cross-functional problem-solving
  • Taking on additional responsibilities as needed to support the growth and success of our business

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Flexibility to work from 10:00 AM-6:30 PM ET, Monday to Friday
  • At least 1 year of call center experience or equivalent customer service experience
  • On-the-job experience with general automotive mechanics is a plus
  • ASE certification, automotive experience, tool familiarity, or a related trade school degree is a plus
  • Intermediate PC and keyboard skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret customer issues and troubleshoot effectively
  • Professional demeanor while understanding customer concerns
  • Quick learning ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong phone etiquette

Nice-to-haves

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role:

  • Automotive knowledge and experience
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in automotive service
