Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Aiea, HI. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for entering patient demographic and insurance billing information from documents into our Information System in accordance with departmental procedures, standards, and operational needs. This is a temporary full-time position with the possibility of converting to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

* Enter patient demographic and insurance billing information from documents into our Information System with high accuracy and speed

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and billing data
  • Verify and validate data for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies and errors
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless data entry and processing
  • Meet productivity and quality standards for data entry and processing
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* 6 months of clerical and/or data entry experience

  • 9,000 keystrokes per hour alphanumeric keying with high accuracy
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare administration environment

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and data entry software
  • Certification in medical coding or data entry (e.g., CPC, CMC, or CEDS)
