As a Sales Associate in this department, you will play a vital role in helping customers select the right products for their home improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional service to customers, answering their questions, and helping them find the products they need.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the products in the Windows and Walls Department, including features, benefits, and applications.
  • Sales and Promotions: Identify sales opportunities and promote products to customers, including credit cards, installations, and add-on sales.
  • Order Processing and Fulfillment: Validate loading tickets, process orders, and ensure that customers receive their merchandise in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Store Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment, and report any safety or security concerns to management.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work effectively with other associates and management to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

  • 6 Months of Computer Experience: Ability to use a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 Months of Retail Technology Experience: Familiarity with common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Sales-Related Licensure or Registration: Ability to obtain any necessary sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance, and may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 Months of Sales Experience: Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
  • 6 Months of Retail Experience: Experience providing customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers in locating products, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business.
  • Bi-Lingual Skills: Fluency in multiple languages, if applicable to the store.
  • Trade-Related Certification: Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials.
