Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Radiologic Technology program curriculum, ensuring that it is up-to-date and aligned with industry standards and requirements.
  • Oversee the delivery of program courses, including lecture and lab instruction, and ensure that students receive a comprehensive education.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide developmental feedback to ensure that students meet program competencies.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators, faculty, and industry partners to ensure that the program meets community and employer needs.
  • Develop and manage externship programs, providing students with hands-on experience in radiologic technology.
  • Prepare for and facilitate annual faculty convocation to ensure that programs are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.

Essential Functions

Program Director Responsibilities

  • Review program curriculum to ensure materials are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.
  • Review courses within the program, including textbooks, equipment, and materials.
  • Create and modify course control documents as necessary.
  • Work with program coordinators to ensure consistency of delivery across campuses.
  • Meet with local advisory boards to ensure that programs meet community and employer needs.
  • Develop and monitor externship programs, providing students with hands-on experience in radiologic technology.

Faculty Responsibilities

  • Prepare course plans and materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and exams.
  • Deliver courses, including lecture and lab instruction.
  • Administer pre-tests and post-tests, and provide progress reports and mid-term feedback.
  • Maintain grade books and adhere to departmental grading policies.
  • Provide students with one-on-one assistance and tutoring.

Education, Training, and Experience

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in radiologic technology, with 2 years of teaching experience in an accredited JRCERT school.
  • ARRT certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in academic administration, curriculum development, and business planning.
