Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Availability Manager to report to the Operations Lead, supervising our 24x7 centralized operations staff in the activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of operational issues to ensure service levels and objectives are met. As an Availability Manager, you will play a critical role in leading incident response during critical outages, ensuring proper notification to management and customer points of contact, and implementing moderately complex core business processes to enhance customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and improving core business processes to enhance customer service and overall operational efficiency
  • Leading incident response during critical outages, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Evaluating employee performance, providing feedback, and recommending personnel actions to enhance team performance
  • Preparing daily reports on incidents, changes, and problem tickets, as well as SLA status, to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Developing and maintaining operations center scheduling to ensure seamless 24x7 operations
  • Communicating professionally with all levels of personnel, from technicians to senior management, to ensure effective collaboration and issue resolution
  • Utilizing strong time management, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to drive results and achieve objectives
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in networking and desktop support, leveraging experience with enterprise management monitoring tools and ITSM tools

Essential Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles and practices
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as Remedy, Service Now, Service Manager, or equivalent
  • Experience with enterprise management monitoring tools such as HP Openview, Solarwinds, or Splunk

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8570 Certification
  • Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
  • Experience scheduling in a 24x7 environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising teams and driving results

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $79,300 - $110,200 yearly, depending on experience, expertise, and education.
