Job Summary
As a Full Stack Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to drive business insights and decision-making. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, develop data-driven solutions, and communicate results to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to drive business insights and decision-making
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop data-driven solutions
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, statistics, and data science
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of high-quality, maintainable code
- Collaborate with other data scientists to develop and implement data-driven solutions
Essential Qualifications
* Postgraduate education (PhD or ABD) in a quantitative field, such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis
- Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, or Julia
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with software engineering and formal high-level software engineering coursework
- 2+ years of professional experience in a data science or related field
- 1+ year of experience in the airline industry or a related field
- Experience with Julia programming language
- Familiarity with blithequark's data sources and industry-specific data sources
- Experience with organized programming for large-scale computer models
