Who we're looking for

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer with deep expertise in protecting enterprise IT systems and data through cryptographic-based security measures. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert on information systems security, ensuring alignment with zero-trust policies and emerging Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) requirements. The Sr. Security Engineer role requires technical leadership, operational integration, and the ability to align strategies with organizational outcomes. What you'll be doing

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on security for information systems and infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and enforce cryptographic-based security measures, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide technical knowledge and high-level analysis, integration, documentation, and implementation across information systems.
  • Collaborate with ISOs and ISSOs to enforce zero-trust security policies and requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, lead incident response efforts, and support network security operations.
  • Utilize security tools and scripting languages to automate tasks and improve system defenses.
  • Lead aspects of PQC initiatives, providing recommendations on new and emerging technologies and insight into PQC trends and methodologies.
  • Align defined strategies and goals with operational architectures and program outcomes.

What you need to know

  • Strong expertise in enterprise information systems security.
  • Applied knowledge of network security, risk assessment, and incident response.
  • Experience implementing zero-trust security policies and cryptographic controls.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation for security operations.
  • Understanding of emerging PQC technologies and their integration into enterprise environments.

Must have's

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • (ISC)2 Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • 5+ years of experience in information systems security engineering.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.
