About the Role

As a Manager, Data Analytics, you will play a critical role in unleashing the power of retail data analytics by visualizing, developing, and maintaining Power BI Semantic Data Models that our data clients can rely on. You will collaborate with Product Leads, Data Specialists, and business partners to solve complex and exciting challenges, enabling our business to be data-driven and have a positive impact on our customers' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create plain and complex models that are compatible with data warehouse rules, used for ad-hoc and reporting purposes
  • Connect data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence
  • Skillfully utilize advanced-level calculations on the dataset
  • Implement row-level security on data alongside an understanding of usage security layer models in Power BI
  • Analyze existing Power BI projects with a focus on performance improvement
  • Grasp layered modeling concepts and demonstrate strong knowledge of various data modeling techniques for data warehousing
  • Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and user-friendly dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Administration
  • Deploy master analysis skills to create visually compelling data stories and meaningful insights
  • Exhibit excellent relational and communication skills across a variety of stakeholders with the ability to negotiate with and influence others
  • Work with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive way
  • Provide skills training to business clients

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following minimum qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years' experience in data modeling, data analysis, data warehouse, programming, or related field
  • 6 years' experience in data modeling, data analysis, data warehouse, programming, or related field
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years' experience in data modeling, data analysis, data warehouse, programming, or related field

Additionally, you should have:

  • At least 5+ years of hands-on data warehousing experience
  • At least 5+ years of assessing and advising interactive and physical data models to ensure Power BI models achieve optimal performance
  • Experience working on large (100 TB+) scale data warehouses (DW)/operational data stores (ODS)

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a strong candidate, you should have:

  • Experience in data modeling, graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Systems, or related field
  • Significant industry experience (e.g., retail, supply chain, e-commerce, healthcare, etc.)
  • Business analysis and reporting, Microsoft Office, statistical modeling programming skills
