Job Description

The System Quality team at Apple is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to help us further develop software quality for iOS and macOS. We're a team that values agile, rapid innovation, and we're looking for a collaborative and results-driven individual who can play a key role in developing new tools and processes for the SWE Program bundle.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with distributed estimation, aggregation, and workflow management tools (Cassandra, Spark, Hadoop)
• Experience designing, leading, executing, and interpreting tests or assessments
• Ability to work with different levels of the data science process (data wrangling, cleaning, extraction, transformation, loading, analysis/visualization/modeling)
• Strong analytical, creative, motivated, and results-driven mindset
• Excellent communication, verbal, and data presentation skills
• Passion for client-focused design and high-quality development

About the Role

In the System Quality team, we're responsible for performing high-quality data analysis, development, and maintenance of delivered data pipelines, as well as creation and support of analysis tools. We're a team that values collaboration, innovation, and results-driven thinking, and we're looking for a talented individual who can contribute to our mission.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
• Strong understanding of data science concepts, including data wrangling, cleaning, extraction, transformation, loading, analysis, and visualization
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
