SAP Finance Consultant - Spear Staffing

Overview: Seeking an experienced SAP Finance Consultant to support a finance transformation at a global professional services firm. Focus areas include Universal Journal (UJ), Intercompany Matching & Reconciliation (ICMR), and Journal Entry (JE) workflows in S/4HANA. In Short: This role requires hands-on configuration experience, deep process knowledge, and the ability to work with finance stakeholders in a professional services environment (project-based revenue recognition, client billing, intercompany transactions, etc.). Key Responsibilities

• Lead workshops to assess and design SAP Finance processes.
• Configure Universal Journal (ACDOCA) for integrated reporting.
• Design and implement ICMR processes (data sources, rules, tolerances).
• Enhance JE workflows (controls, approvals, automation).
• Partner with finance leaders on close, consolidation, and compliance.
• Support testing and deployment with technical teams.
• Advise on best practices for project-based finance (billing, allocations, intercompany).

Requirements

• 8+ years in SAP FI/CO; hands-on S/4HANA (UJ, ICMR, JE workflows).
• Experience in professional services (legal, consulting, IT, etc.).
• Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into SAP configuration.

Preferred

• Exposure to Group Reporting / Consolidation in S/4HANA.
• ICMR experience in Central Finance environments.
• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Background in global finance transformation programs.
