As a Sales Specialist, you will be crucial in maintaining the highest level of sales experience for LGC’s customers. You will build and pursue sales opportunities with direct customers, aiming to deliver outstanding financial results. Your role will involve developing a deep understanding of our products, understanding customer needs, and effectively communicating our product value to meet those needs.

You will serve as part of the LGC Sales Team, reporting directly to the Sales Manager. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work within an ambitious and collaborative team, where your contributions will be valued and rewarded.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities with direct transactional accounts to drive portfolio and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with existing focus accounts to nurture trust and dedication.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of LGC product range across various markets for effective customer communication.
  • Conduct engaging and informative presentations, highlighting the benefits and suitability of products or services to meet customers’ needs.
  • Use LGC’s sales tools to manage prospects, existing accounts, opportunities, and pipeline, and to forecast in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for periodically collecting and analysing information on the top transactional accounts, to determine if they are eligible for segment promotion.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to find opportunities for business growth and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to improve new product launches.
  • Liaise closely with internal colleagues to ensure a flawless customer experience.

We are seeking a flexible individual with the right attitude to succeed in a commercial environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field or equivalent
  • Proven experience delivering sales presentations in a specialist capacity, ideally involving technical products or services.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in sales, with the ability to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages will be considered a strong advantage.
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with customers and internal collaborators across various functions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • The ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
