Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-17

Job Description: Senior Staff Accountant (Remote – International) for a Healthcare Company (Intacct expert)

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to work remotely with our client's U.S.-based finance team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a distributed team environment.

This position focuses heavily on balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close processes. It offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with healthcare industry exposure, especially those familiar with U.S. nursing home accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are accurate and supported with clear documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances, working closely with the U.S. team to clear reconciling items.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and provide detailed schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliation and reporting workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and reconciliation responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in intermediate-to-advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and dynamic array formulas (e.g., FILTER, UNIQUE, SORT).
  • Experience with U.S. accounting software; Intacct experience is a must.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to overlap at least 4 hours with U.S. Eastern business hours while working from your home country.
  • Prior experience in U.S. nursing home or healthcare accounting is a must.

This is a long-term remote position in a collaborative, supportive culture. We are seeking someone proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in an international environment.
