We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a hands-on technical expert and mentor, driving the development of advanced testing frameworks and best practices. You will make a significant, independent impact on our software quality and reliability, directly contributing to our goals of reducing the Change Failure Rate (CFR) and enhancing testing efficiency across the organization. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, DevOps/Platform engineers, and product managers to understand complex systems, identify critical quality gaps, and implement scalable, automated solutions. Your work will be central to strengthening our quality pyramid from the foundational unit tests up through comprehensive end-to-end scenarios.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other SDETs, elevating the team's capabilities and best practices.
  • Strategically assess the current state of our entire testing landscape (including unit, API, contract, integration, UI functional/component, and E2E layers) and design, develop, and implement a robust, modern, and comprehensive testing architecture.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of highly robust, scalable full-stack test automation frameworks, encompassing:
  • Unit and UI Component test frameworks.
  • API Integration & Contract test frameworks.
  • End-to-End (E2E) test frameworks (primarily Playwright).
  • Synthetic Monitors for critical production user flows.
  • Performance Test Suites for critical application paths and microservices.
  • Develop and implement solutions for selective E2E test execution within CI/CD pipelines to significantly improve feedback loop efficiency.
  • Implement the adoption of AI for testing (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test writing and increase overall test coverage.
  • Leverage insights from recurring production incidents and participate in post-incident reviews to proactively create new unit, E2E, synthetic, or API tests that prevent recurring issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our testing processes, tools, and overall quality pipeline.
  • What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SDET experience focused on designing, developing, and implementing advanced test automation frameworks.
  • Proven experience automating tests for React/Nest, React-native projects or similar modern web/app frameworks.
  • Deep expertise in Playwright, Appium.
  • Experience with other test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
  • Demonstrable practical experience utilizing AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for accelerating test creation and optimization.
  • Experience with AI/ML applications in testing (e.g., test generation, optimization, flakiness analysis, predictive quality)
  • Demonstrable experience integrating advanced testing solutions into complex CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps/SRE principles, including practical experience with monitoring, observability, and cloud platforms.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts and provide effective mentorship to peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, effectively prioritize complex strategic tasks, and drive initiatives from conception through successful completion.
  • Working Schedule & Location:

  • Working Hours: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (BD Time)
  • Working Days: Hybrid - Monday to Friday (3 Days from Home + 2 Days from the Office)
  • Location: Uttara 12, Dhaka, Bangladesh
  • Salary Range:

  • BDT 180,000 - 230,000 (Monthly)
