We identify and support the foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets needed to support rapid global expansion of Amazon's SOA infrastructure, built on top of AWS technologies. Our team focuses on robust and scalable architecture patterns and engineering best practices, driving adoption of ever-evolving and cutting-edge AWS technologies. As a Principal PMT, you will take ownership of managed connectivity architecture that spans multiple products like Cloud Architected Network, BigMesh for centralized traffic management and SOA policy implementation at Amazon. Our team builds and operates innovative hosted compute platforms that empower Amazon's retail engineers to build architectures for their business solutions that are secure, available, productive, and cost efficient. This position requires a product management background and direct experience managing large deliverables across multiple teams and organizations. You will create and drive high-level vision and strategic roadmap for Amazon managed connectivity architecture for SDO. To be successful in this role, you are motivated to take on challenging problems, display good business judgment, and demonstrate experience leading cross-functional teams. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and effectively, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects. This position requires a solid technical background, and you should be customer-focused with a passion for driving innovative infrastructure within Amazon's retail SOA. Prior AWS experience is desirable but not required. Our vision is to make Amazon’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) more manageable and developers more productive by building an ecosystem of managed abstractions that allow Amazon Retail developers to focus on their unique business logic and business operations, knowing that security, authentication, authorization, load balancing, throttling and routing “just work” and are always consistent with Amazon best practices. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
