Position Overview: We're seeking a highly skilled AI Narrative Designer to help us build emotionally engaging AI characters for interactive storytelling products. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the product and AI teams to design, structure, and refine character content for generative AI systems. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located in the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Engaging Characters: Create emotionally compelling characters tailored for paid content markets, ensuring each character fits the platform's tone, resonates with users, and supports long-term engagement.
• Adapt Existing IPs: Analyze character content from interactive novels, games, or other IPs and restructure them into formats suitable for AI-driven interactive storytelling.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product and technical teams to understand character frameworks and prompt logic, supporting character tuning, content formatting, and the development of scalable narrative standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in creative writing, screenwriting, game design, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in content creation, narrative design, or character-driven writing.
• Familiarity with modular/structured writing approaches and a willingness to adapt writing for generative AI logic.
• Passion for interactive fiction, character simulation, or dialogue-heavy games.
• Strong skills in writing character-driven content.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Comfortable communicating in spoken Mandarin Chinese for internal meetings and team collaboration.
• Able to participate in occasional cross-time zone meetings, working with teams across regions.

Bonus Points

• Experience with AI chat platforms like Character.AI, Replika, or content on Chapters/Episode.
• Prompt engineering or experience with LLMs, AI dialogue tuning, or chatbot content optimization.
