Job Summary

We are looking for talented educators to deliver engaging academic and test-prep instruction to high school and middle school students in the Chicagoland area. As an Academic Tutor, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and academic achievement.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive pay starting at $30/hr for 1-on-1 tutoring and $47/hr for classroom teaching
• Potential for pay increases based on performance
• $500 stipend for completion of comprehensive tutor training

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Strong academic expertise in English, math, reading, and science
• Proficiency in teaching all subjects on the ACT
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective classroom management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
• Ability to build supportive relationships with students in a professional manner
• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and educational equity
• Passion for supporting student success
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week
• Access to a computer with webcam, mic, and reliable internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps download and upload speed) for virtual instruction
