Law Student Legal Internship (IP)
ESURGI is seeking a part-time intern or extern that is well-versed in patent law. Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Esurgi Intellectual Property is protected
- Assist in procuring Patent Clinics
- Work with the legal clinics throughout the legal process
- Collaborate with design and implementation teams to review ESURGI’s products
- Help to draft IP applications
- Help to draft, edit, and review legal contracts related to an early-stage company
Minimum Requirements:
- Interest in or experience with law and IP
- Available to work remotely
- Strong attention to detail, highly motivated, and works well with others.
- Ability to make progress while working under minimal supervision
- Strong writing, proofreading, research, and communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and results-driven
- Six (6) months of commitment to this position
Preferred Educational Background:
- 2L/3L law student
- Pursuing an LLM in IP / Patent Law
- Pursuing or have a degree in Law or a four-year degree in Legal, Engineering, or a Technical/Science background
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable about or experience in patent law, and contract law
- Experience with or knowledge in engineering or biotechnology

The interns will be assigned a mentor with an executive background. The intern and the mentor will develop an internship plan. The plan includes objectives, success factors, and deliverables. The intern and mentor will meet regularly to review the progress and plan of the intern.
