Remote Network Development Engineer - Amazon ($22/Hour)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of the AWS Venture Organization Tasks group, you will play a crucial role in driving the stability and sustainability of our network and finding innovative ways to automate and scale our network as Amazon expands to multiple corporate offices, data centers, and locations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional support for multi-vendor data network solutions to support Amazon's growth globally
• Monitor and maintain performance and capacity at Amazon's office installations to ensure maximum efficiency and operational uptime
• Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams for ongoing design efforts and systems maintenance
• Design and implement network solutions for various Amazon locations
• Participate in operational excellence by continuously improving and automating networking and operations processes

Key Work Responsibilities:

As a Network Development Engineer, you will perform excellent network and systems operations, arrangements, scaling, technology refresh, supporting engineering, best practices application, optimization, internal/external customer interactions, and generate suitable technical documentation. You will also create and implement changes on the network, lead network projects, and support Amazon Web Services' cutting-edge networks for large AWS clients.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of significant web routing protocols experience
• 4+ years of automation scripting using Python, Ruby, Shell, or Perl experience
• 4+ years of professional experience working in large-scale networking environments
• 4+ years of experience working with IPSec/Remote Access VPN technologies, Firewalls (ASA), Wireless (802.11x), and IT security best practices
• 4+ years of experience with web routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies
